Why we started Welham Autism Centre
Families in Greater Manchester deserve help when they ask for it.
Thousands of local families are waiting right now, some for more than four years. Many reach the end of that wait only to be handed a yes or a no, with little sense of who their child is or what would actually help.
We started the Welham Autism Centre to do this differently. Every family leaves us with a path forward, not just a place on a pathway.
We exist to create a world where autistic children are understood, supported, and able to thrive.
A world where being identified as autistic is not the end of your child’s care journey, but the beginning. The start of you and your child truly understanding who they are, what helps them feel comfortable, and how to advocate for their needs.
A world where families can appreciate their child’s strengths, celebrate their identity, and feel confident in the path ahead.
