Complaints Procedure
Version 1.0. Published 25th September 2026.Tell us
If any part of your experience with us has fallen short, we want to know. Most things are resolved quickly once someone has actually heard the problem.
Email info@welhamautismcentre.co.uk, with "Complaint" in the subject line, and tell us what happened and what you'd like us to do about it. If you'd rather speak to someone, say so and we'll arrange a call.
What happens next
We will acknowledge your complaint within three working days.
We will give you a full response within 20 working days. If it's going to take longer, because we need to speak to someone who's away for instance, we'll tell you before that deadline, explain why, and give you a new date.
Complaints about clinical matters are handled by our clinical lead, Dr Tasha Cullingham. Complaints about anything else are handled by Dan Welsh. If your complaint is about one of us, the other will look into it.
We will tell you what we found, what we're doing about it, and what we've changed.
Making a complaint will not affect your child's care
It shouldn't need saying, but families often worry about it: complaining will not affect how we treat you or your child, or the outcome of an assessment.
If you're still not satisfied
About a clinician's professional conduct or fitness to practise: the Health and Care Professions Council, hcpc-uk.org. The HCPC investigates the practitioner's conduct; it does not resolve service complaints or award compensation.
About how we've handled your information: the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Records
We keep a record of every complaint and what we did about it, and we review them to improve the service. Those records are covered by our privacy notice.
